screen-shot-2016-08-27-at-6-59-32-am-150x150Turning Point USA has impacted almost every aspect of my life. Through TPUSA I found my voice and strengthened my love for politics. TPUSA has led me to incredible opportunities including the chances to travel and attend several conferences and also the opportunity to intern with them in the summer of 2016. It is so inspiring to be able to surround myself with the strong, likeminded people that make up Turning Point USA. Looking back a year ago to when I first got involved with them, I would have never imagined the doors TPUSA would open for me today! I am forever grateful to TPUSA because they give young conservatives a voice and a purpose. This organization allows me to speak my mind on my campus as the President of my chapter as well as help teach other students about our mission. TPUSA truly gives me hope for the future of my generation in politics and in life.

The organization has given me opportunities that I wouldn’t have had if I hadn’t been a part of Turning Point USA. I learned how to be a better activist when I attended the winter in West Palm Beach retreat in December, and I put the skills I learned there into action on my college campus, and at CPAC this past March. I’m proud to say that I am an activist for Turning Point USA.

Turning Point restored my faith in the conservative movement and inspired me to activate other students on my campus. Since joining Turning Point USA, I have discovered my true passion for instilling the idea of “free markets, free people” in the minds of college students and making America the it has ever been. I have hope for the future of this nation because of Turning Point USA, and I am excited to continue the fight for a brighter tomorrow.

Being a conservative on a very liberal campus can be difficult, so through starting a TPUSA chapter, I wanted to give other likeminded students on my campus a chance to have their voice heard. Turning Point USA was there for me every step of the way and continues to be there for me after my chapter has grown. Turning Point USA also offers first-class activism training at various conferences throughout the year, while also doing everything they can to ensure these events are affordable for students. Everyday I am thankful for the impact TPUSA has had on my life and the lives of many other young conservatives. Because of Turning Point USA, I have hope for the future of our country.

screen-shot-2016-09-01-at-9-05-41-am-e1472738802629Turning Point USA has introduced me to a world previously unbeknown to me; filled with endless opportunities and exciting experiences, my journey with TPUSA has been nothing short of enlightening. I’ve always been attracted to politics, but my circle of influence was limited to social media and conversations with close friends. Turning Point USA enabled me to be an influential activist on my campus by providing me the training, support, and resources to make a real difference! I never thought I would have the opportunity to travel the country, publish a booklet on gun control, and network with well-known leaders in conservative politics. As a chapter leader at East Carolina University, I have planned and executed weekly meetings, organized school-wide events, and developed activism theme projects. The experience I have acquired is priceless and has opened many doors for me. I am very grateful to this organization for seeing something in me that I did not see in myself: leadership. Thank you TPUSA for empowering me to be the outspoken, unapologetic activist I am today!
