Turning Point USA has hit the ground running in Montana for our fourth consecutive semester!  The long drive times and tabling in cold temperatures in past semesters has paid off.  Our strong chapter in Bozeman is now being complemented by growing numbers at our official chapters at the University of Montana Missoula, Carroll College, Montana State Billings, Montana Western Dillon and Flathead Community College.   We now have enthusiastic Turning Point members in nearly every large and small Montana campus, ready to fight tooth and nail for a future of smaller government.

From a state known for friendliness and hard work, it has been a bonding experience. We have been meeting new conservative leaders and hearing their stories while introducing them to Turning Point USA.  Our events are becoming more popular too, with over twenty interested engaged activists at our recent fall kickoff BBQ!

Our conservative-themed weeks have been very popular.  During Catapalooza at Montana State-Bozeman we recruited over 200 interested members in a two-day period.  Encouragingly our presidential straw poll a majority of students supported a Republican.   A big emphasis this semester is helping our free market alliance groups and smaller chapters get more active.  Through our special events like 2nd amendment day and debt cakes we are gaining members for TPUSA and our other conservative campus groups.   Many young activists are also interested in our upcoming Western Leadership summit in California and our unique Winter in West Palm Beach event this December for our best activists.

Finally, at Montana State, where liberals have controlled student government for decades, we have some exciting news.  A quality student body president and vice presidential candidate were aided in their election efforts by TPUSA as well as three senators!   Given the upcoming crucial elections which decide the direction of our nation, this is our semester to really make young conservative Montanans voices heard in an active and  engaged way.  It is a pleasure and an honor helping them for another year in conservative big sky country.
