Madison Taaffe of Spruce Creek High School visited Chicago, Illinois for the first time to attend Turning Point USA’s High School Activist Conference.

At her school in Florida, Madison felt like “a needle in a haystack” among the many liberals in her community. Attending the High School Activist Conference allowed her to find other conservative young people who were willing to fight for limited government and capitalism.

Taaffe says she “made lifelong friends that are spread throughout the USA,” and these friends will continue to be a support system to Madison as she starts a Turning Point USA chapter at her high school. The conference provided her with the tool set and the skills to be able to establish and grow her chapter and effectively market the conservative message to her high school peers.
