Lila Ontiveros serves as Senior Vice President of Investment Strategies at CAZ Investments in Houston, Texas. She is responsible for sourcing and evaluating investment themes and developing the firm’s opportunities to capitalize on those themes. Lila facilitates the ability of outside investors, including family offices, individuals, advisors, and institutions, to co-invest with the firm and their principals. She also serves on the firm’s investment committee.
Prior to joining CAZ, she served as Finance Director on a Senator Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign. Prior to her political experience, she spent nearly a decade at Goldman Sachs in New York on the Foreign Exchange Sales and Trading desk.
A Houston area native, Lila was a Meinig Scholar at Cornell University and graduated with a B.S. in Industrial Labor Relations. She has been involved in various philanthropic endeavors in Houston and New York City, and has been a class agent of Phillips Exeter Academy for 16 years. She is an avid hunter and golfer. In her spare time, she organizes helicopter hog hunts in Texas and big game hunts in South Africa.
