Kelley is a graduate of Rhodes College with a degree in English. She has worked as a corporate communications manager for companies in the telecommunications industry, such as Sprint and Nortel Networks, as well as a freelance writer while raising her children. Today she works in political advertising and media consulting.

In April 2015, Kelley published her first book, True and Constant Friends. In the book, Kelley celebrates the inspiration, guidance and love we receive from the women in our lives through essays about her lifelong friendships, her mother, and her grandmother, who immigrated to America from Ireland in 1929. With each relationship crossing different generations and cultures, Kelley explores universal themes of hardship, determination, commitment, family, optimism and love to illuminate the power of the female bond that enriches all of our lives.

In this beautifully illustrated book, Kelley’s uplifting stories are interwoven with classic poetry and beloved literary quotes along with photography and original paintings.
