Last week, CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky told reporters during a White House news briefing on Covid-19 that there is data to suggest schools can reopen safely.
She said:
“There is increasing data to suggest that schools can safely reopen and that safe reopening does not suggest that teachers need to be vaccinated.”
Yesterday, a reporter asked Jen Psaki, Biden’s White House Press Secretary, to clarify Joe Biden’s promise to reopen schools within his first 100 days as President.
The reporter asked specifically, “Could you help us understand what the White House’s, or what the President’s definition of open schools is? Does it mean teachers in the classroom teaching students in a classroom, or does it just mean kids in a classroom with a remote screen? Help us understand.”
Jen Psaki responded saying, “Sure, his goal that he set is to have the majority of schools, so more than 50 percent, open by day 100 of his presidency. And that means some teaching in classrooms. So at least one day a week“.
Psaki later called it part of a “bold and ambitious agenda for how we’re going to measure ourselves and progress.”
Psaki was also insinuating that this entirely fulfills Biden’s promise to reopen schools.
ONE DAY A WEEK?! That’s a “bold agenda?”
Back in December of 2020, Joe Biden never said any of this when he promised “open” schools. So you are telling me this was his genius plan all along?
The Biden Administration is not listening to science, in more ways than one.
Kids are suffering and want to go back to school.
