Conservative radio talk show host and co-founder of PragerU, Dennis Prager, took the stage on the final day of Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest to warn the youngest generation about the era of American politics we find ourselves in.

“This is the darkest era in American history outside of the Civil War,” Prager declared at the beginning of his speech. “The country has never been as disunited as it is today. We live in different moral universes.”

Throughout his speech, Prager confronted identity politics in American society and argued that the left has a broken moral compass. He explained that leftists tend to choose the morally wrong solution to political topics, causing contention and division in the country. Whether it be the topic of biological men who identify as transgender competing in women’s sports, parents who take their children to drag shows, or the current Israel-Hamas conflict, individuals who identify with the left routinely advocate for the worst moral stance on these issues.

Prager also spoke about the modern feminist movement and society’s growing contempt for marriage. He passionately condemned the argument that women can be independent from men, and should instead focus on other things like a career.

“Men need women and women need men,” Prager pointed out to the applause of the AmFest audience. “Do you realize if I spoke at a left-wing convention … I would be booed?”

He further dispelled the belief that feminism teaches equality by explaining that the feminist movement teaches women to hate men and to believe that marriage is nonsense.

“It is all thanks to left-wing horrible advice: marriage is unnecessary, it’s a creation of patriarchy, it’s a misogynist institution. Your great happiness in life is going to come from a career. Really?”

Prager concluded his speech by calling out the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of English for its removal of a mural of William Shakespeare. He challenged the ivy league school’s decisions and explained that it was motivated by a desire to destroy western civilization. Prager concluded that the American public must push back and fight against the left’s continual attempts to destroy our country’s institutions and core values.

“Please know if you ever get down,” Prager advised, “The antidote to getting down is to fight.”
