As the leftist frenzy regarding COVID-19 vaccines continues to grow, Turning Point USA students are exposing radical professors for advancing leftist agendas in the classroom. Most recently, Dr. Kurt Maier was recorded making direct attacks towards those who chose not to get the vaccine. Maier is a professor and undergraduate advisor for the Department of Environmental Health at East Tennessee State University.
On the first day of the school year, Maier confidently began his class by explaining to the students that university policy PROHIBITS him from asking students about their vaccination status. He went on to say he “has busted that rule 15 times” and pointed out the students in the class that he had already questioned. Additionally, Maier told his class about another professor in the department who recently contracted COVID and proceeded to say that, “The stupid son of a b**** would not get vaccinated.” Later in the class, Maier then tripled down on his hurtful rhetoric towards his unvaccinated students by saying, “I am not interested in people that do not believe in science, I am a scientist. That is what I do, okay? And the anti-vaxxers can go to hell for all I care. Of course, they may be on their way to that on their own.”
The left has become obsessed with knowing people’s private medical information and shames those for making a decision they disagree with. Maier’s statements are blatantly disrespectful to unvaccinated staff and students. His remarks are divisive, and discussing personal medical decisions has no place in a college classroom, which he clearly understands, given his own comments at the beginning of the lecture.
Dr. Maier threw medical privacy out the window on the first day of his class this year by defying university policy and asking students if they are vaccinated, as well as exposing his coworker’s medical information to students. His behavior in the class was extremely unprofessional and unethical, and he should be held accountable for his abhorrent remarks.
