A Judge in Pima County, Airzona ruled Friday afternoon to reinstate a law originally written in 1864, during the Civil War, when Arizona was still a territory. The law bans all abortions in the state, but does make exception to save the life of the mother. Medical professionals who perform abortions in violation of the legislation will be sentenced to anywhere between two to five years in prision.

That being said, the US Department of Agriculture is set to spend $2.8 billion on the Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities program, to primarily research what they call "climate-smart" agriculture techniques. The funding does not even go towards advancing an already tried-and-true technique; no, this is relatively untracable spending, given to organizations that promise to find ways to not simply make farming net-zero, but to make agriculture an industry that can actually absorb and remove emissions.
