A New York professor who aggressively harassed pro-life students at New York’s Hunter College has been fired after threatening a reporter with a machete outside of her apartment.

Shellyne Rodriguez, who was an adjunct professor at the School of Visual Arts and New York’s Hunter College, gained media attention after verbally harassing pro-life students at the school and vandalizing their table. A video of the incident was shared on Twitter by Students for Life of America, showing the teacher yelling at students, “You’re not educating sh*t, this is f**king propaganda.”

“What are you going to do, like, anti-trans next?” the professor asked. When students calmly tried to address her and de-escalate the situation, she responded by saying “This is violent, this is bullsh*t. You’re triggering my students.” Rodriguez then attacked the male student behind the table, “You can’t even have a f**king baby . . . get this sh*t the f**k out of here.” After which she proceeded to clear the table, throwing the pamphlets and yelling, “F**k this sh*t!”

Tuesday afternoon, a reporter from the New York Post paid Rodriguez a visit at her home to request comment on her actions. He was met with a machete-wielding New York professor who refused to cooperate with the press. “Get the f**k away from my door, or I’m gonna chop you up with this machete!”

“If I see you on this block one more f**king time, you’re gonna . . . ” Rodriguez yelled at the reported while chasing him outside the apartment building. “Get the f**k off the block! Get the f**k out of here, yo!”

“The professor briefly chased The Post’s photographer down the street to his car before coming back to kick the reporter in the shins.”

“She finally retreated into her building just moments later.”

A spokesperson for New York’s Hunter College, Vince DiMiceli, told the New York Post that the professor had been fired for her actions, “Hunter College strongly condemns the unacceptable actions of Shellyne Rodriguez and has taken immediate action,” he said. “Rodriguez has been relieved of her duties at Hunter College effective immediately, and will not be returning to teach at the school.”

This is one of the rare instances in which a professor is let go for being radically progressive and harassing students with views different than their own, and it should be celebrated by conservatives — but that doesn’t mean the problem is solved. Many colleges simply place professors on leave until the news cycle shifts, and then quickly allow them resume their indoctrination tirade on campus.
