Stephen Einhorn is the senior partner of a Milwaukee based venture capital fund, Capital Midwest. The fund invests in early and mid-stage high tech Midwest companies with a priority in Wisconsin. Steve and his partners have just completed Capital Midwest Fund III which is the largest venture fund ever raised in Milwaukee. The fund’s focus is on Advanced Manufacturing technology and Business to Business IT.
Steve has been a strong conservative for many years. His highest priorities include supporting intellectual diversity, reducing government regulations and providing incentives to work through a reformed tax code.
Steve earned an M.S. in chemical engineering from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute, a B.A. in chemistry from Cornell University, and attended Wharton Graduate School. He has served as chairman of the Cornell University Technology Transfer Committee, a trustee of the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, and the Milwaukee Art Museum. He is the father of two sons and grandfather of seven. Steve is the author of a business philosophy joke book, If You Try to Please Everybody…You Will Lose Your Ass.
