Turning Point USA’s Professor Watchlist consistently identifies and exposes corrupt professors advancing leftist agendas on college campuses across the country. One of the most recent additions is Bruce Monger, Director of Undergraduate Studies for Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Cornell University. Cornell currently has a mask mandate in place.

Dr. Monger admitted in an interview that he describes himself as a socialist and says that his classes are taught to create revolutionaries. In October 2021, Dr. Monger sent out a course-wide email to his students asking to help him identify two students that chose not to wear a mask in class. “I wanted to ask for your help in identifying two oceans students who were photographed with their masks off during the oceans class last Friday.”

In his email, obtained by the Twitter account “Libs of TikTok,” he described the physical features of the students, stating that one has a “fairly prominent hooked nose.” He proceeded to threaten to fail both students if and when they were identified. “If/when I identify the students, I will be failing both of them for the semester as promised I would in class last Wednesday.”

After Dr. Monger’s email gained significant media attention, Cornell released a statement saying that his description of the students was not appropriate and did not align with Cornell’s values. They made no comment regarding the threat to fail students.

Unfortunately, one can expect to see leftist agendas pushed by college professors in this day and age. Sending a malicious email to students takes it to another level. The leftist agenda creates hatred and fear of each other, and Dr. Monger is a prime example of the hostility the left shows towards those that resist their ideas.
