Sebastian Gorka tweeted a few days ago, “If you don’t publicly avow your Conservative identity and your Conservative values, you are being a coward and part of the problem.
Let everyone know what you actually believe.
Others will follow.
Trust me.”
After seeing Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany publicly celebrate Brittany’s birthday with conservatives like DC Draino (Rogan O’Handley) and Candace Owens, I can’t help but hope that what Gorka said is true.
How many more celebrities, in country music and otherwise, feel the same way as the Aldeans but are afraid to talk about it? How much better off would we be as a country if the Left understood that it’s ok to have a different opinion which many people do?
So many are afraid to share their beliefs because they are afraid they’ll have to stand alone. They’re also afraid of having their livelihood ripped away from them and canceled. What I love about Jason and Brittany is that not only have they been very brave about posting their conservative beliefs, they’ve also acted like it’s no big deal.
Because it isn’t.
And it shouldn’t be.
Normalize having different ideas in this country again. Normalize conservatism. Yes, we’re conservative. So what? That’s the attitude of the Aldean’s, and that’s the attitude we should all have. Then maybe someday soon, maybe even today, others will follow suit.
