The Department of Homeland Security has banned the use of horses at the Southern border after misinformation spread like wildfire on social media and by establishment media sources that agents were allegedly using “whips” to stop Haitian migrants from coming into the United States.
In reality, agents were using split reins to ride their horses–but still, photos from the border led Leftists to believe people were being whipped by the agents, which White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki called “horrible and horrific.”
Of course, no images exist of migrants ACTUALLY being hit by reins used to ride horses, but that didn’t stop Leftist politicians and media figures from sharing their outrage on social media and in public statements anyway.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer condemned the “images of inhumane treatment of Haitian migrants by Border Patrol—including the use of whips.”
Representative Maxine Waters added, “What we witnessed was worse than what we witnessed in slavery … cowboys with their reins, again, whipping black people.”
Sounds like universal horse control is the new rallying cry for Leftists in government!
