As many of you know, I moved to Texas from Upstate New York in October. I’m now settled in after two months here, and I love it!
Overall, my favorite part of living in Texas is that the opportunities are endless, especially compared to my life in New York.
The cost of living is incredibly low. There is no state income tax. And the price of housing and property is insanely affordable compared to New York.
I mean, have you guys seen those memes before?!
In New York, owning property was a far-away goal for me, probably 5-7 years away. But now, two months into moving to Texas, I’m already able to begin planning to implement my goals within the next YEAR, and it’s so fun! I could buy and then build a studio or office for my work inside, I could buy and then rent it out to monthly renters, or I could buy a home closer to downtown/ Main Street and rent it out as a cute AirBnB getaway.
I’ll keep you guys updated on my quest to join what the leftists call “the owning class.” HA!
It is so fun and refreshing to take control of your plans and not feel held back by the leftist government, preventing creativity and growth. God Bless Texas!
